Sick puppies and wacked out cats

Great title,don't you agree? LOL.... Well as my sister stated in her blog January kinda sucks and I now agree whole heartedly. It started off okay here in the Beaver household, We sucked Doug over the Apple Ipod world, he had a good birthday work was going well, Athena got her first heartworm treatment and the WHAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sunday morning Doug took her out and watched her as she went potty and then just laid down in the yard and couldn't get back up. He called me @ work and said we had a problem, that something was wrong with her. After i wrongly accused him of not following the vet's orders in regards to keeping quiet i told him to bring her in and call the vet. Poor Doug he was so upset and worried. I called my sister Lillian to ask questions and help and she was so good to call him and then go help him take her to the emergency vet hospital. Poor Athena was bleeding from her rectum and could barely stand or move. She was kept overnight to get stablized and I took her to her regular vet monday morning where Dr.Minor kept her on fluids and watched her throughout the day.She came home Monday evening and was very glad to be home but started throwing up and had to be re-admitted tuesday overnight. She is now home and seems to be on the mend. I was sooo scared I was going to lose her that I didn't sleep sunday night or monday night. I slept in the living room with her monday night in case something happened and she needed me. When I tell people she is my third child I reallllly mean it. She is there every night when i come home from work tail wagging, and smiling for me, she gets mad if I don't tell her Hi first and will push her way in. She is just a awesome dog. We are a perfect fit together. Now on to the wacked out cats, Mr Prince is our fat fat tabby kitty, He is CRAZY!!!! He likes to play in the dog's water dish, This is fairly new for him. On Monday I cought him sticking his paw in the water dish and swishing it around, like he was testing it to go swimming. Then he took his paw out and shook it on the floor getting quite a bit of water on the floor. I really wonder if he has a brain. Tonight he was sitting on the paper towel and knife i had out to make Arienna's lunch for tommorrow. when i fussed @ him he just looked at me like "So"?? Hopefully the rest of January will be quite now that we have had some drama.

I surrender......

Okay so I know it's been ages since i updated here but i have been surrendering myself alot of negative engery and have not wanted to subject anyone else to it so it was all out of courtesy my one reader LOL. I finally had time to think this evening and tried not to over analyze my recent state of mind and have come to conclusions. I realize that things started to run amok in March. My dear friend and former coworker was in the midst of losing her husband and left work to care for him as she should have and ya know i think i have been grieving for the friends and co-workers i have lost in the recent past, I don't mean they died but have moved on to different things and i miss them alot. I had to hire new people and train them, it's really hard to train someone when you are the only one who knows what you are doing and not everybody learns, listens or uses common sense the way some other people do and it is very difficult to remember that sometimes. So I now declare myself in a state of surrender to God and let him guide me back the path I once was on. I like being positive, happy and nice. I hate being cranky, mean and fussy all the time. I hate being scatterbrained and disorganized, so I will remember to pray daily for the strength and courage to go back down a path of happiness and harmony in 2009. It's not really a resolution but a journey I am taking. I will keep you posted as to how the journey going. Just remember to think pretty pink and blue thoughts. ;)

Where has November gone????

Today i realized that we are exactly one week away from thanksgiving, It blows my mind and also made me think about what i am thankful for. So i thought i would post it here.

1) I am so thankful to live in America, where we took a positive step towards change by electing the first black president.

2) My family, They are crazy, funny, unique and the glue that holds me together

3) That the recession has not hit me too hard and hopefully it won't

4) That my kids are healthy, smart, funny, beautiful and crazy!!!

5) My husband, he's snarky, dry and more awesome than he knows!!!! and he loves me best of all

6)My smelly dogs, they are the only beings in my house who listen to me or atleast pretend too.

There is so much more that i am thankful for but think that's a good start for today :). What are you thankful for??

Long time no see....

It's been a long time since i have posted and my sister is getting ancy.... Truth is I have been a little out of it. Halloween was a sucess, No tears @ the sleepover except Arienna did get a particulary nasty cut on her leg and didn't tell me until the next morning. She drove me nuts all weekend texting me telling me how much it hurt. The kids got to go to a Mcain-Palin Rally that weekend and Charlie got to shake hands with Palin & the "first dude". Changed his beliefs and decided Mcain should win. BLEAHHH No more republicans for a while please. I was thrilled to vote and even more thrilled to vote for Obama. To see someone of a mixed heritage, diverse background and a want to do good things is powerful. I only hope he suceeds, but i support him.
I got good news this week, I donot have lupus but have a lingering strep infection in my bloodstream so hopefully this round of antibiotics will kill it. Apparently it's pretty strong because the dr seems to think i have had it a while and a round of zpak for a sinus infection didn't kill it. Hopefully the Keflex will. Also my cholesterol has come down and he suggested niacin to boost my good #'s. The kids brought home their report cards today and Charlie got all b's and a C. Arienna got 5 A's and 2 B's. Those kids are so smart and i am certainly proud of them. So that's all the news on my homefront lately, I will be better about posting in the future :)

beachy was peachy!!

Okay so that title was stupid, lol but it was good. We wnet down to Kill Devil hills on Friday and spent the weekend walking back and forth to the beach, stores,and got to see the Cape Hatteras lighthouse. I walked up all 257 stairs to the top, thought i would i die but i did it. I also have joined facebook recently and am suprised @how many people I know are on there. It's kinda cool to see people i went to high school with. I was never crazy about most of the people there but i have reconnected with some whom i really liked. It's funny how life can be like that. I have a new manager @ work which i like so far and even the general manage complimented one displays he suggested, wasn't sure if it was the actual images he liked or just the fact that we had the poster sizes up on display. It does look really good if i do say so myself. Well enough bragging on me. Good night Folks :)
